that a human-being learns to cognize.”

Psychoanalysis & Psychotherapy

In psychoanalytic treatment, we aim to explore and better understand the root of your suffering. Through free speech, we can bring to light inner conflicts, unconscious wishes, or traumatic experiences. In the course of remembering, repeating, and working through these, the view of the past and the present changes, reducing suffering and leading to a greater outlook in life.

I offer two forms of treatment: Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Classical Psychoanalysis. In Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, the analysand and analyst sit facing each other. In classical Psychoanalysis, the session is carried out without eye contact as the analysis progresses. This gives the analysand the opportunity to speak without having to pay attention to the reactions of the other person or to social conventions. In this setting, the analysand lies on a couch and the analyst sits at the head end of the couch, away from the field of vision of the analysand.

Costs, setting, and session frequency are arranged individually. Sessions can also be conducted online via video call.

Sessions can also be held in German or French.

Supervision

Supervision—or “super-audition”—is primarily about jointly creating a creative space for reflecting on practice. A space in which what is supposedly familiar can be heard differently, and in which positions can be questioned and reimagined. A space within which language is understood not only as mere meaning, but also as a form of enjoyment (jouissance). Moreover, it is a space within which the “object a” can be made tangible to some extent.

Such supervision need not necessarily focus on clinical practice; it can also address issues related to academic work in the context of theses or research projects.
